Underneath each quarterberth is 2.6 cubic feet of styrofoam floatation. This takes advantage of some dead space in the boat, and will allow me to use smaller blocks under the cockpit. The hole in the side of the hull is for a deadlight installed by the previous owner. I didn't really like this, but since it'll be an inland and coastal cruiser they'll be reinstalled.
