
A look at the new dinette table. I've found furniture stores to
be a great source of materials... the two tops were from a dresser
and chest of drawers that was discontinued. The bases were both
damaged, so the tops were discarded. I had hoped to find a table
top that I could cut down, but this pieced up nicely. The other
parts (the edging and the center strip)were pulled from a packing
crate. Crates from furniture stores sometimes have good hardwood
in them, these are beech or maple, I think. You have to overlook
the nail holes, though.
