Here's a view of the rebuilt keel winch and the mounting bracket I fabricated to hang it. The bracket is overkill... but when I took out the old winch, there was evidence of three separate repairs to this area, one on top of the other. This is obviously a weak area in the boat.
The bracket was made from 1/4 x3" 304 stainless welded with Cronatron 3880 corrosion-resistant rod.
